| It was originally released in 1994. It had a controller with no joysticks until later in which it was called the DualShock . Pictures are here. Playstation original: PSone: Read about it on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation EDIT: Thanks for pointing that out Corbra. | |

| Apparently Sony was working with Nintendo on the 64 for a while. They had arguments on rights and went their separate ways. Sony used the information they gathered to build the PlayStation. It might be a rumor however. | |

| Okay. I didn't like some of the games on PlayStation. Who would play Santa Claus Saves the Earth? http://psx.gamezone.com/gamesell/p21071.htm | |

| Wasn't the terms PS1 and PSOne? I can't remember.
Also the curvyness on the One wasn't as good as the original one, I think.

| I had problems with the PSone. It never loaded a game, and was slow. Thats why I prefered the Original because it seemed to be faster. | |

| PS1 was good. However, it was prone to crashing, and not loading certain games which sucked. But it had great games such as Spyro, Crash, Lemmings, and loads of great games which amused me for a while. | |

You must of been pretty lucky then. After a few years, it tends to kick the bucket, then again, most stuff does. I'm surprised my 12 - 13 year old Game boy pocket hasn't gone dead yet.

| The Playstation was good for some games, like Mortal Kombat, Mega Man, and Tekken. Crash was also good. Shoot, I beat Crash 3 100%. I think the N64 was better for racing games, and platformers. At least, when it came to 3d. | |
